ITPO is the apex body of the Government of India for promoting trade in India &
abroad primarily through the medium of trade fairs & exhibitions.
ITPO is registered under Sec. 25 of Companies Act, 1956 (now Section 8 of
Companies Act, 2013).
ITPO is also registered under Section 12A as a charitable trust and exempted u/s 10(23C)(iv) of Income Tax Act, 1961. The matter of exemption is sub-judice in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
It has its head office at Delhi, 3 operational Regional Offices at Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata and 1 non-operational Regional Office at Bangalore.
